Open Position:

Full-Time  Intermediate/Senior Staff Accountant

Hybrid role: On-site required full-time for March-April, with 3 days per week in the office the remainder of the year,

Location: Toronto, ON 


Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Intermediate/Senior Staff Accountant who can step in immediately. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who thrives in a fast-paced and collaborative environment and is seeking to build a long-term career in public accounting. The successful candidate will work closely with clients and senior team members across a wide range of accounting and tax engagements.


Key Responsibilities

  • Independently complete compilation engagements from start to finish.
  • Preparation of personal, corporate, and trust income tax returns (T1, T2, T2 NIL, T3, T4, T5, T5013, etc.).
  • Assist with CRA audit processes and respond to audit inquiries.
  • Perform bookkeeping tasks as required using QBO and QB desktop.
  • Align work with client objectives and firm priorities, demonstrating accountability and ownership of tasks.

 

 

Qualifications

  • ·At least 2 recent tax seasons in a small - midsize Canadian CPA firm with a focus on corporate and personal tax
  • Proficiency with CaseWare, TaxPrep, QuickBooks online, Quickbooks desktop or similar software.
  • Solid knowledge of personal and corporate tax.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and proactive.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple engagements and meet deadlines effectively.
